Donetta Peterson is a 56 year old woman raised in Baltimore, Maryland. She graduated high school and attended two trade schools. Ms. Peterson homeless on the streets of Hollywood and South Central on and off for the past 30 years due to her divorce, her last job was with the Department of Social Services where she worked for 18 years before retiring. Ms. Peterson receives a social security cheque in the form of $920.00 monthly but her issues with drug abuse over the last eight years has prevented her from finding a permanent home. Ms. Peterson has swollen feet, arthritis, is in need of dental work, and needs vision care. These ailments make it challenging for her to have a regular job. She stopped caring about her health and hasn’t seen a doctor in 11 years. She isn’t able to sleep properly and wakes up at 3:45 am every morning, Ms. Peterson has requested to be placed in a nursery home as she has no family in California to help or support her.
